All dogs arriving at Doodle Haven spend time in foster care, regardless of age or history. This allows us to address any immediate medical needs, including vaccinations, parasite clearance, and sterilization. During this time, we also assess their behavior, begin the training process, and gain a deeper understanding of each dog’s unique needs. Once we have this information, we create a detailed profile for each dog, outlining their personality and the type of environment that would best suit them. This helps you make an informed choice when selecting the right dog for your home.

We are thrilled that a dog has caught your eye! The first step is to register online. This gives us essential information about your situation and helps us compare your needs with the dog’s profile. If you’ve already completed the form and been approved, our adoption team, who are experts in matching dogs with their perfect families, will assist you in finding the ideal companion.
Sometimes, the first dog you’re drawn to may not be the best fit, but we’ll work closely with you to help you make the perfect choice. If multiple people are interested in the same dog, we process applications in the order they are received. However, not being first in line doesn’t mean you’re out of luck. Since we aim to find the best match for both the dog and the family, the process involves more than just being first to apply.
